Dana,
Thanks for your awesome info: I will definitely check out those other names you mentioned. Yes, I know about Carol Alt; she is doing really well.
What a coincidence that you, too, do much better after including raw animal foods! This is my second day of eating animal protein (yes, Pacific wild salmon is fantastic!! - I cannot get enough of it!) and I feel sooooooo much better already! What's even more interesting, I don't need any digestive enzymes! No bloating, no gas - gone practically overnight! Wow!! Do you think I still should be taking digestive enzymes, just in case? In your opinion, does everybody need to take those enzymes, no matter what the diet AND how they feel? Same with the systemic enzymes - does everybody need to take them always??
Where do you get your raw milk? Its not that easy to find!
Thanks again for your great input!
Have a nice day, ;--))

Hi Dana,
You have no idea what happened today! After being a vegetarian for so many years and pure vegan for almost one year now - today I had fish!!!!
Recently I have realized that I have not been doing that great being a pure vegan: my stamina got weaker and weaker, my energy was diminishing, my digestion of beans and grains was a nightmare even with digestive enzymes, despite taking most of the supplements suggested on our "other" blog, it was getting bad. In the past few months, I had some noticeable improvements and sparks of "healthy light" in me, but the past few weeks have been a downright spiral! The China Study makes all the sense in the world, but if you cannot stay much longer on a purely vegan diet mentally and physically, then there is somehting wrong in here. So, I decided to follow a Paleolithic food plan based on two authorities: Ben Balzer, MD, from Australia, the foremost specialist in Paleo diet and Loren Cordain, PhD, professor at Colorado State Univ. Dr. Balzer points out the dangers in eating grains because of lectins (and the list of nasty things they do is quite long, indeed!) and of eating legumes because of enzyme blockers and other pesky substances they contain! The mental fog, the confusion, the declining function of the thyroid, the weight gain, the lethargy, the bloat and indigestion from eating grains and legumes was just finally too much to take! Plus, the more supplements I took the worse I felt; so, these were not the answer for me, either! What those two scientists write about makes all the sense to me and it surely applies to my experiece with veganism big time! So, today, I had a lovely piece of pacific salmon with a large salad for lunch - and felt great! No need for any digestive enzymes, no bloating, no indigestion, nothing - just the feeling of lightness and energy!!!
I notieced on your blog that you do include some dairy in your diet, which means that you, too, believe in some inclusion of animal products in your diet. Therefore, starting today, I will be including some oceanic fish, eggs, and wild game in my diet (but still no red meat and no dairy) on a regular basis: with absolutely no grains of any sort (even no mighty quinoa or buckwheat) and no legumes at all!! Just plenty of veggies, nuts, seeds, fruit (mostly low glycemic) and wild lean animal protein, in addition to organic eggs! I feel really good about my decision: one year is plenty to find out if a certain food plan works well or not! It has not been working well for me, esp. recently! So, it was time to make a complete 180 degr. turn! Even Dr. Gerson included raw liver in his original plan! I guess he knew that all- vegan plan may not cut it for everyone out there!!! What do you think about all this?
Thanks for listening!
Cheers,
Mary

Dana. Sorry it has taken so long for me to welcome you to this site. I saw you had a lot to read before I wanted to say hi and I've been quite busy. Well I must say it was worth the wait. Your story is amazing! I am so happy that you have the intestinal fortitude to be the warrior you are and not conform to conventional thought!

Funny how you mentioned you thought you were the only one with this thought process well I was the same so I made the documentary "icurecancer.com". You are so on the right path and it's a breath of fresh air to not have to try and explain these things to someone that has been brain washed like most of the masses have been. Everything you have done and have listed is perfect in my opinion.

Have you viewed any of the video's I've put up. You will find Dr. Walkers and Dr. Bernardo's very entertaining and interesting I'm sure.

Anyway it's an honor to have someone of your light here so welcome. If I can ever be of any service please let me know.

peace. ian

Scenic Artist
Mom to Leo and Cosmo

10+ yr. survivor multiple sclerotic and lytic bone lesions with bone marrow fibrosis (means lymphoma) - head and neck/skull base/both jawbones, spine; and CFIDS/EBV.

No conventional treatments, natural and non-toxic treatments only.

I've done everything . . . . I became obsessed with alternative medicine in 2002 and started with MERCURY filling removal that year, followed by lots of detox work, followed by the Gerson Therapy in 2003, then high pH therapy in 2004, and finally raw foods diet (including small amounts of raw fish) since 2005. Until I found this site, I thought I was *the only one* doing all of these strange and unconventional things . . .

My doctors and especially my dentist, thought I was "out there."

They found my bone lesions in 1999 and 2000. One doctor told me I'd be dead by 2004-2005, but did not tell me why. My dentist (a head and neck oncologist married to a hematologist-oncologist) said that she did not want to help me or be a hero, and it took me a few years to figure out that it was probably not a good idea for her to place a nickel-beryllium (carcinogenic) alloy bridge over a (potentially cancerous) non-healing ulcer/extraction site in my jawbone and a nickel pin into a tooth with root resorption.

In 2000, an oncologist at Hartford Hospital misdiagnosed my bone lesions as "lipomas".

In 2005, an oncologist at New York Presbyterian misdiagnosed my bone lesions as myeloma and told me that there were no conventional treatments for it . . . . though I continued to receive bills for chemotherapy that I never received! Lol.

The differential diagnosis is bone lymphoma (according to several holistic dentists)**, but I have not been able to get any help due to a six-year long legal battle (that actually began in small claims court but was motioned to the regular docket by the defendant) to get that DANG nickel bridge out of my mouth! (**confirmed as a low grade bone lymphoma - http://tinyurl.com/c9e92k).

I think our health care system is truly scary. Throughout the six years of legal proceedings I got to see first hand just how truly powerful ($$) - and how truly powerless - it is. The defense was going to call a certain famous Quackbuster as their expert. I have tons of deposition testimony and would love to make a documentary some day. Unfortunately, they would not allow me to videotape the depositions.

The things that helped me the most:
DETOX DETOX DETOX
Raw Foods Diet - I include some raw fish.
Sunshine (FREE) . . . . get your vitamin D levels up to 55 ng/mL's!
YMCA ($58 per month for work-out, sauna, pool, yoga, steam room)

I have come to accept that the bone lesions may or may not ever go away. But I am still here, ten years later.

I will keep up the hard-core natural healing . . . I know that bone takes a long time to heal.

Right now: Some days I feel like crap. Some days I feel completely normal. And then there are those moments when I truly feel great.

And I know now that I am not "the only one" "out there".

About the Film:
This is a documentary chronicling the life-and-death struggles of people with deadly diseases, and we hear first hand the ride these individuals had navigating these alternative courses.
It explains how the medical monopoly has intentionally prevented these cures from reaching the market or becoming widespread modern day knowledge.
Each year, 500,000 people are diagnosed with cancer. Millions more have other deadly or chronic illnesses. Our hospitals should be healing centers that incorporate the best medical practices mankind has ever devised, blending ancient techniques proven over centuries, with the most recent technological advances of allopathic medicine. However, they have are not stayed true to their mission statements of serving the sick without compromising choice for capitalistic endeavors and corporate bottom lines. Maybe, as we continue to evolve, with therapies supporting volume healing, we might be able to find a common ground. The integrity of medical treatment is still being sacrificed.

I invite you to join the efforts of icurecancer.com - The Film. We wish to bring this quality of life changing information to the world community.
