Dr. Moss said a long time ago that the small benefit (2-3%) offered by adriamycin compared with less heart-damaging drugs was mostly confined to HER2+ breast cancer patients. This is a very small benefit for a very small subsection of patients com...

jill, are you still doing pancreatic enzymes?

what is pallitive radiation? they wanted me to consider "electron" radiation...it does not penetrate too deep-therefore less damage to surrounding tissues. is that what you are getting?

Jill, long time since i have posted anything, but i wonder how you are doing? I hope you are well. I never did go into hospice...,my friends and family begged me to try chemo first...i am still doing chemo today. Ive tried about 3 different types so far....when one quit working i started another. I have to admit, the chemo has bought me some time. I have been experiencing some nerve problems in my hands and feet, but i am still kicking. I am living at my parents in a 5th wheeler(for my own sanity). I have started planting a garden and want to just enjoy a good summer of gardening if i can. i dont look too far ahead in the future....just try to enjoy today. Please let me know how you are doing.

Jill!!

I am doing OK...fluids back (i think) around my heart. some problems with my meds but other than that good. I have an appointment 2/3. Tumor markers that might be up but oh well. I am thinking of having DMSO 3 days in a row (that seemed to do the trick the last time I had this problem) but it makes you smell funny...garlicish for days afterward and my husband is having a bday party this weekend and next weekend I go to a wedding so I will have to wait to do that. Nobody wants a stinky wedding guest! Or a stinky wife at their party.

Thank you so much for your comment on my blog. How are you doing??

Hey Jill,
It's sooooo nice to hear from you! You are right: if things are not working as well as expected, its time to move in a different direction, for sure.
I have left the CSC community for a while but now I miss it so much that I am going to "re-enlist" very soon!
I am doing OK, my doc is pressing for a surgery to remove at least my ovaries, possibly even hysterectomy but I am not convinced at all and am not doing any surgery for now. Hysterectomy is a very serious business; I have not thought so until I talked to some women who had one; its a true shock to the system - both physical and mental one! It's not such a "care-free" procedure as some docs want us to believe!
My mother has resumed the modified Gerson; she is doing phenomenally well (she just turned 84). She missed that feeling of strength, both mental and physical, that she was experiencing while on Gerson (but less so on just 80-90% raw). Therefore, she is back to doing 4-5 juices daily plus the regular Gerson meals, exactly as they prescribe. My boyfriend Mark is doing a similar regimen; he was indulging himself a little lately and his markers went up, so its back to the Gerson again (he got remission from his prostate cancer all thanks to strict Gerson regimen with all the supplements!!!). He is even planning to spend one week at the Gerson Institute this coming spring or summer.
I had a terrible time with menopausal symptoms: I can't take even bio-identical hormones becuase they may cause my ovarian cysts to "explode", so to speak, with all that estrogen again. The typical estrogenic herbs were not helping, either! So, I discovered a marvelous remedy: MACA!!! Wow, the relief was obvious after only 4-5 days!!! Hardly any hot flashes now, maybe just one medium one at night, as opposed to one every hour before! Plus, Maca helps the overall hormonal balance, including my parathyroid, which was over the roof, now is getting slightly down. Also, I am taking Chlorella for DNA repair and extra protein; I need all the protein I can get since I am vegan and my choices are limited (I also take hemp, and other vegan protein sources). I am basically doing 90% raw now, totally vegan, but had to stop juices for a while because my calcium was way up (11.3); now it went down again to more acceptable levels of 10.5. I will resume juicing maybe in the spring time. I am looking for a good ND in the Boston area - they have some great docs in there! A friend of mine is being treated at Dana-Farber in Boston: they are doing some integrative treatments there, so its not just chemo, as she was very much against just pure chemo. Maybe you can check their website and see if you will be interested in some of their programs?
Please let me know how things are going with your new programs; I am thinking of you often and sending lots of bright, healing energy your way!!!
Love and hugs,
mary : )

Hi Jill,
Your comment re. "My Friend, the Oncologist" is just perfect!!!!!!!!!!
Indeed, if people tried Gerson or related therapies first, and then chemo, maybe the outcome for so many folks out there would have been different.
By the way, I think Gerson is just a fantastic therapy: a friend of mine has been following it for the past five months and she is getting great results; even though she was following chemo for one year prior to Gerson -- which made her so sick that she could not even stand by herself because she got so weak!
By the way, how are you doing? How are you feeling?
I have been thinking about you and am checking your website often for more of those great raw recipes!! : )
Love and Hugs,
mary

About the Film:
This is a documentary chronicling the life-and-death struggles of people with deadly diseases, and we hear first hand the ride these individuals had navigating these alternative courses.
It explains how the medical monopoly has intentionally prevented these cures from reaching the market or becoming widespread modern day knowledge.
Each year, 500,000 people are diagnosed with cancer. Millions more have other deadly or chronic illnesses. Our hospitals should be healing centers that incorporate the best medical practices mankind has ever devised, blending ancient techniques proven over centuries, with the most recent technological advances of allopathic medicine. However, they have are not stayed true to their mission statements of serving the sick without compromising choice for capitalistic endeavors and corporate bottom lines. Maybe, as we continue to evolve, with therapies supporting volume healing, we might be able to find a common ground. The integrity of medical treatment is still being sacrificed.

I invite you to join the efforts of icurecancer.com - The Film. We wish to bring this quality of life changing information to the world community.
